Whether you hunt big game such as Mule Deer, Elk or Bear or enjoy fly fishing private river frontage in a wilderness setting or want a ride in and ride out snowmobile cabin location, the experience of a lifetime awaits at Wild Skies' year-round cabins located on the Northern end of the Flat Tops in the Rocky Mountains of Northwest Colorado in Game Management Unit 12.

Whether you are looking for the largest elk herd in the world or an authentic Rocky Mountain get-away-from-it all experience, you'll find it at Wild Skies. Escape to Wild Skies Cabins and experience genuine western hospitality in a remote, rustic and refreshing wilderness area. We strive to create an atmosphere of tranquility and camaraderie, where quiet comforts blend with exhilarating fun.

Our 2,000 sq. ft. log cabin is located on a National Scenic Byway on County Road 8 and is surrounded on three sides by Routt National Forest which borders the Flat Top Wilderness area in Northwest Colorado. The adjacent land area is over four million acres through an assortment of federal and state land. We also have smaller individual cabins and homes near Craig, CO off of Hwy 40.

Wild Skies' cabin located in the Flat Tops is the perfect mountainside retreat. With over 1/2 mile of river frontage at 8500 feet elevation and nestled in a grove of aspen and pine trees, the cabin exudes an atmosphere of rustic elegance. Most anyone that has stayed at Wild Skies' cabin, has just been awe struck by the vastness and sheer beauty of staying at the cabin.  The vistas/the views they get to see are breathtaking. From the wildlife, the mountains, rivers and streams to the charming features of the cabin.  In the summertime the wildflowers are spectacular.  In the wintertime, it is peaceful and serene.

Wild Skies' offers amazing four season recreational opportunities, comfortable accommodations, and excellent locations which are either close to Craig or remote and easy to access in the Flat Tops.  Picture yourself in the majestic Rocky Mountains fishing for trout in the summer, hunting elk in the fall, snowmobiling out your doorstep in the winter, or just relaxing on the porch with a glass of iced tea and a spectacular view of the Williams Fork East River, Mount Baldy and Pyramid Peak. You may catch a glimpse of the deer which roam our aspen mountains, the huge herds of wild elk which graze among the aspen groves, or an endangered bald eagle fishing in our rivers and lakes.

We'd like to invite you to learn more about our cabin and the National Historic Pyramid Ranger Station site next door. Follow the links above  to learn about our cabin, our wildlife, and the recreational opportunities available. We'll do our best to make this the best getaway you've ever had.
